BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The Democratic challenger to Republican Rep. Butch Otter jumped back into the race Monday - just a month after announcing she planned to withdraw.
Naomi Preston, 49, released a statement Monday indicating she was back in the campaign. Spokesman Delmar Stone said Preston initially announced her withdrawal to help her mother recover from a badly broken hip.
"I think Idahoans will understand that your mother comes first," Stone said.
Although Preston said she intended to formally withdraw, she never did.
