BOISE, Idaho — The Internal Revenue Service has filed two more tax liens against a northern Idaho lawmaker, raising the amount owed in back taxes to nearly $1 million.
The liens filed Wednesday in Kootenai County against Republican Rep. Phil Hart of Athol are for individual income taxes, penalties and interest totaling about $300,000.
The liens target Hart's home, which is owned by a trust Hart established in his daughter's name.
