Anyone know Duckworth's position on gay marriage / civil unions?
I went to her official campaign website, but couldn't really find any position statements about it.

I would assume that Tammy Duckworth doesn't support gay marriage but would support civil unions for same-sex couples...but I wanted to see if anyone knows for certain if she's expressed a public stance at all?

2. Why doesn't someone ask her?
Surely, if it doesn't come up in the debates against Cegelis, it will most definitely be a question (assuming Duckworth is the Dem nominee) asked during the debate against the Republican nominee to succeed Hyde?

5. If there are any debates
Duckworth seems to prefer a "remote" style of campaigning, so if she's the nominee there may not be any.

6. prepare to see her pummeled
maybe the primary campaign will help her, but for once i can quote a reputable source in saying that the lynn sweet column linked in kevin's post concurs that she is a novice campaigner, and it shows. duh.
roskam will loudly demand many debates if she is the nominee. maybe the boys can get her ready. who knows.
but i do not think roskam is eaager to take on christine. she knows her stuff, and is ready for him.

3. It was asked during one of the forums
As I recall, all the candidates basically agreed that the law shouldn't discriminate against same-sex couples.

Duckworth, of course, is noted for giving different answers under different circumstances, so this may not mean much.
