So who will replace Evans in Illinois 17?

As is known by now, Lane Evans is retiring at the end of his current term due to health reasons. This district has been a Democrat stronghold since 1982 and Evans has been great for the district. Now it is time to replace him. A few candidates mentioned are Mike Jacobs, Mike Boland, and Rock Island mayor Mark Schweibert, who is a good Dem. Any other suggestions? These men are all Quad City people and maybe there should be someone outside of here, although this is the population center of the district. We as Dems really need this seat and a strong candidate would be nice.

1. I'm guessing on Boland

I have no real insight into this, I'v never worked that district before. But I do know his name pops up all the time when people discuss someone ready to move to a higher office.

So it's just my hunch.
