My illinois republican rep relieved to not debate impeachment resolution.

In response to my email to debate and pass a resolution in Illinois house for impeachment proceedings of Bush:

I just returned for the summer from Springfield and want to report this
resolution was filed but never discussed. I got off the hook easy and

1. pretty shocking admission

but these state reps are pretty accessible. mine, harry osterman, actually returned my call, and we had a nice chat.
i think the hope now is to continue to collect additional sponsors over the recess, and hope that we can at least bump it from rules to a substantive committee when they re-convene. where we all presume it will die. but still, every action that is taken is one more time that we all get to say the i word in public.
