Anyone in Springfield? Pub recommendations? |
|
Wanna meet for a couple of hours on a Thursday, 22 June in downtown? And any recommendations as to where to avoid or make sure I get there?
I've got a bit of a layover Thursday night; my train arrives at 8:30 and my sister can't get to Springfield until about 11 that night - she's a senior at ISU, and she has a final that night. So I was just going to find someplace to hang for a bit and wait.
I have books, so I can keep myself entertained for three hours, but if there's anyone in the area who wants to meet another DUer, this would be a good time!

Thursday June 22 just happens to be the one year anniversary of Drinking Liberally in Springfield! This DUer will be there and probably a couple others. The party starts at 8pm in Floyd's Thirst Parlor. We're having cake and area candidates will be there. Its walking distance from the train station, 210 S. 5th Street. You should definitely come!

It will be grand to meet you. Does Floyd's serve food?

But there are several places within a block that do. El Presidente on 6th is on of my favorites downtown, but there are fancier places as well. I'll be at Floyd's too.

4. Floyds was my favorite spot. |
|
Back in my staffer days, I would routinely hit Floyds Thirst Parlor and the Brewhaus.
