Illinois Congressmen who hate the environment

The League of Conservation voters released its annual rating of members of Congress. Four members of Congress from Illinois got a zero rating. They didn't cast a single important environmental vote correctly during the last Congress. They are:

Henry Hyde (R)
Don Manzullo (R)
John Shimkus (R)
Jerry Weller (R)

As you can see, we need help downstate. That is where a lot of progress can be made to get better representation in Congress. If you live in their district, let them know you don't appreciate their vote, or just call up their opponent and offer to help.

A little factoid about Hyde and my personal history: The first time my parents realized I was politically active was when they saw me on TV holding a mock trial in the U of I student union for Henry Hyde for his stance on women's choice. We highlighted in his trial the fact that Hyde's work to outlaw Medicaid funding for abortions actually TRIPLED the number of women reported by the CDC as dying from abortion and complications from un-sterile abortion conditions. Mom was a bit "surprised" to see me on the news at 6.

True that Hyde is more of a suburban Chicago problem, as well as Manzullo. Their districts are only partly outside Chicagoland.
