...is going to let us down again on the escalation vote.
Her office can't comment, that's their official statement.
Thanks Melissa, again, for nothing.
Of course I hope I'm wrong and she votes against it.
Cheers

1. Wish I had a nickel for everytime I got to say Bean and Disappointed in the same sentence. |
|
I seriously can't stand that she's my Rep and I wish someone would run in the next primary against her.

4. Okay, so I made the call |

.....and surprise, surprise. :sarcasm:
Rep Bean still has not made up her mind. However, spoke to a young intern and she said that she would also like to know where Bean stands on the issue.
Cheers

5. You might want to send out a massive email to get your friends and |
|
family in the district to call her. Gotta keep the pressure on.

6. Bean isn't as bad as Costello |
|
That's my "Democratic" rep. in Illinois and he voted against stem cell. I don't think Melissa Bean is that bad honestly. Does that mean I agree with her decision in this matter? Absolutely not. But we need to realize that even in 2006, which was obviously a strong year for that, she barely made 50%. This is a Republican district and her "advisors" probably feel that she'd be vulnerable on the "defense issue" if she didn't vote this way.

7. this was on my postition paper running as a write in against bean |

The war in Iraq needs to end now. The military should be commended for a successful invasion, but the administration is criminally responsible for the invasion in the first place, the lie of the “Mission Accomplished” speech, forward, through today. The time-frame I envision is six days, six weeks, but not more than six months. The cost to Americans is too high, in terms of lives, dollars, and world-standing. The only people benefiting are defense contractors and the terrorists we are fighting.
but hey, i only got .02% of the vote
