I live in Rockford and my husband and I are planning to attend the announcement of Obama. I was just curious if anyone else was planning on attending. I heard Dick Durbin is going to be there as well.
It should be fun.

I'm over in Burlington, IA. Just watching CSpan, and thinking I might come over. I wonder how close we can get? I wonder if I'll freeze my arse off :)
Do you know if the new Lincoln Museum will be open (kill two birds with one stone)?

trying to find out more info on this. I don't know about the museum. I live 3.5 hours north of springfield in rockford. It is going to be cold so bundle up!

The crowd was amazing! Chicago NBC affiliate said 15,000 to 17,000 people and on such a cold morning. Apparently, people were coming in from all over, because they said O'Hare ran out of rental cars.
Go Obama!!!

Mr. Wonderful and myself are going to Barack's announcement tomorrow at the UIC Pavillion. One of the guys that worked on John Sullivan's primary campaign against Dan Lipinski with me last year called me this afternoon and asked if we wanted to go. Of course I said YES!!!
I have to go pick up the tickets tonight, but I won't mind going out in the cold for a chance like this....

And, compared with the last week, it actually felt warm when I was outside today. At least the sun was out and the wind has died down and switched to from the SW.
I want fake winter back. And Obama as the 2008 Democratic candidate!
