need du help- accessing government services thru the web.

DH and i do some parent education stuff for our kids grade school. one of the things we do is have the computer teacher open the lab to parents for something called 'learn to google nights'.
our next session, we would like to focus on accessing government services through the web. the teacher has asked my to try to compile some websites that she should take them to.
we have a high immigrant population, so international/immigration related services would be helpful. state and local services, school services, or anything that you think our mostly pretty poor, heavily immigrant population could use. spaninsh is our main language group, but there are 32 different languages spoken by our populaiton.
yes, i know i could google. but i was hoping to get folks experience trying to actually use these services.

In our polling she is up 47-40 with a labor poll having her at 48-44 over Stone. A lot of work to do. Good luck to Joe Moore, he stopped in briefly during a fundraiser Naisy was having with Congressman Mike Honda.

4. it has been discouraging to hear some people's gripes

remind me never to run for alderman, especially more than once. people can get pretty petty. made the mistake of reading the neighborhood blogs of some of the "backwash" :eyes: :crazy: :crazy:
