He waited until Republican Day at the state fair to announce this. Pat Brady of St. Charles will replace him temporarily.

The republicans seems to be in at least as much disarray as they have been in the recent past. Democrats have quite a few primaries, but we are not fighting to the extent our opposition is.

The Governor's Day activities went well. I enjoyed my day and a half in Springfield.
