At least you have Foster. We are trying in vain to get rid of Manzullo. He has an opponent, who is announcing his candidacy tomorrow.

That Sauk Valley newspaper called me the other day to see if we wanted a subscription. I told them their editorial policy was right wing. The guy told me he was surprised that I would say that. No one else had ever said that.

On another subject, do you watch the TV news out of Rockford? Channel 23 had a feature story about my little community. It concerned the 33 burglaries we have had here over the last couple of months. Some of the burglaries have been committed in broad daylight. Some have been committed while people were home but napping. It makes me glad that I have an eighty pound dog who is a Lab/Doberman mix. The Lab part makes her friendly and playful. But she is territorial and protective of us. She has a deep, loud bark, too.

Anyway, they are starting some neighborhood watches here. And they have arrested a couple of people over in ronnieland who may be responsible for similar burglaries. I don't think they have found any of the stolen items from over here, though. That isn't much to go on.

2. the three guys were from polo

they were breaking into houses a block away from me...i have a rather protective german shorthair/"pitbull"mix....

i decided to join the suak valley comment section...there`s a couple of democrats and a couple other people who can think. they are out numbered by the republicans so i figured i could help. the other day the editorial page editor had a column about letters he was receiving complaining that the editorials were to liberal or to conservative. i guess ya can`t please everyone.....


good luck with getting rid of "dunderhead don"....there seems to be a lot of "to dumb to be alive" republicans in your district. at least the eastern part of the 14th is developing a strong democratic base to counter the republicans out here. it`s going to be a very interesting spring!
