Lieutenant Governor? Comptroller? Treasurer? |
|
I'm undecided for these races. Who do you support for these?
If I had to pick right now I'd go with Terry Link, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Robin Kelly.

5. I went Turner (very reluctantly), Krishnamoorthi, and Kelly |
|
I really struggled with the Art Turner thing. He was my state rep, and he's essentially a good guy ... but I feel he's been around Springfield too long. I was going to vote for Mike Boland, only because several progressive groups had endorsed him. But when I went to his website and read his answers to questionnaires in the Tribune and Sun-Times, I was unimpressed.
In the end, I voted for Turner because the job is largely ceremonial, because he has a lot of links to the Legislature that could be helpful ... and because no one else caught my eye.
My biggest whoop was (futilely) voting (again) against Danny Davis as my Congressman. I'm sorry, Danny, but you've got to put some more effort in there. Like showing up, maybe. A smart African-American woman, Sharon Denise Dixon, got my vote. She's gonna lose big, though.
