So, Chicago DUers -- how IS the Rahmn-y mayor-y thing working for ya? |

Would you vote for him? Why? What are his chances of winning? And most important, are his chances of winning so poor that Obama has in reality given him a face-saving graceful exit?

No. Never. I live in his old district and am eagerly looking forward to working against his campaign. It looks like it should end up a 3 way race between Rahm, Tom Dart, and Rep.(and rev.) James Meeks. He has a chance due his money and name, but Chicago won't fall for his bullshit phony regular guy act. We know he's nothing but a northshore suburban born and raised, corporate loving, blue dog investment banker!

3. How much of your district (5th?) is actually IN Chicago? |
|
I can't find the numbers but just looking at the map it seems like it's about 50-50. That means Rahm was representing half a dozen burbs and a small chunk of the city-- whose rep would that really make him? Despite his connections, it's hard to think of him as a Chicago guy.

4. I read Rahm's ratings in Chicago are actually not that bad. |
|
I know several people in my office who would vote for him. I have to see how the race shakes up, but Id vote for him if it was him or a republican, no regret. You sort of have to be an asshole to be in Chicago politics. I'm pretty sure going from Chi town to NY would be a relief.

6. It won't be Rahm v. a Republican. |
|
If Rahm makes it through the non-partisan primary then he'll still be running against another Democrat who made it through the primary.
