About lawn signs for Scott Lee Cohen...a real jerk... |
|
His lawn signs are everywhere in the northern suburbs...everywhere that is that is illegal. On public parkways, rightways next to highways, empty lots, everywhere except the land that is owned by people. Those lawns have signs for Quinn, Rubio, and the other candidates who asked the owners of the land to place them Those are legal signs.
..I saw three of them in and around Skokie today, on public land, put there a few hours earlier. I went to the village hall, and got it confirmed that they were illegally posted and it would be taken care of "later in the week." Well those three are gone now. Someone came by and lifted them from their public place, and threw them away. I don't know who..or maybe I do.but I know this. Putting those signs in those public places gives him an advantage over Quinn and the others who play reasonably fair. None of their signs are on public lands. And three less of Scott Lee Cohens are not on public lands either.

1. him and joel pollack, and the other teabaggers. |
|
unfortunately, not that many people know the rules and have the reactions you and i do. i love the sign wars, and do a lot of sign planting. at this point in the game, we fight fire with fire, and put ours right there next to them. maybe they stay up, or maybe they all get taken down now that we made it too obvious. either works for me. these clowns have no support. i was out planting for schakowsky. we outnumber pollack 100-1, if not double that. aaaallllll of his are on the public way.
but that's the game.

2. We put ours right next to those on the right of way, too. |
|
Around here, ours get stolen often. In my yard, they don't touch them. They are too lazy to climb the hill. And our signs are BIG. We live on a highway. The assholes take out our mailbox instead. I know that when our mailbox is vandalized in the summer, it is because of the signs.

4. oh, how hard it is for me to resist that urge. |
|
it would be so satisfying to just cruise down ashland avenue and toss them all in the back of the car. the blow back from that can be intense, tho. people wont know where you took them from, just that you have a trunk full of the oppo's signs. it's not worth it to me, personally.

5. I had one of my signs run down. It had tire tracks on it. |
|
they ran over a side walk and across the lawn of a business to do so. I HATE sign wars. The GOP don't want anyone else to exercise their free speech.

6. Someone left a flyer for a meet-and-greet for him ... |

on the table in the hallway of our condo floor. I discreetly wadded it up and threw it in the trash.
We don't actually have a policy in our building regarding politicking ... but no one has ever done that before.

7. There were quite a few of them on Lehigh Avenue next to the train tracks.... |
|
between Devon and Howard. Most of them seem to have disappeared now. Maybe it was through your efforts.

8. I wish I could claim those...I personally took down those two |
|
on Lincoln Ave. and.one was near the Skokie Police station one Main ST. The people in Skokie govt. took down many, as I reported that those Scott Lee Cohen signs were on public land.. I hope Quinn wins, but I am not sure..I can only hope.

governor. Who is stupid enough to believe that job fairs will solve all of the problems in our state. I guess 3 % of the IL voters do.
