1. Shimkus is a dedicated, hard working, public servant... |
|
That is, if by public we mean corruption and corporate cronyism. I have written letters, e-mails and called his office. He is arguably the best when it comes to replying to his constituents, invariably polite, and firmly entrenched in his belief system. It's like punching a pillow--no real reaction, punch it as hard as you want and all you do is wear yourself out. I will do what I can to discredit and disavow him. He is not, in any way, a representative of the people and has never met a rapepublican fundy policy he didn't love. This man is a cultural icon of the culture of corruption and deserves to be called on his shit and summarily kicked out of office as a conspirator and accomplice before, during and after the fact.

2. This editorial first ran in the Decatur Herald & Review, |
|
Which means it was in papers that cover his entire district outside of the metro-east region.

It doesn't surprise me that they didn't write this. It does surprise me that they ran it.

I remember their former editor quoting the ridiculous the Lou Sheldon clan in an editorial - I'd say they are wingnut thru and thru.
