Assistant U.S. Attorney Zachary Fardon asked U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer to limit the tactics of Ryan lawyer Dan Webb. Fardon said Webb's over-the-line methods include asking witnesses improper questions in front of jurors, then abruptly withdrawing them.
"Mr. Webb is running roughshod over the truth-finding process," Fardon said after the jury was excused for the day.
"He's the most effective lawyer in the room, but through that process, he is blowing a tremendous amount of smoke" at jurors, the prosecutor added."
