Take the Red Line to O'Hare? |
|
Anybody see the plans for Block 37 which includes a link between the Red Line and Blue Line?
The link will run from the corner of Randolph & Dearborn to the corner of State & Washington. It will allow Red Line stops South of Block 37 to connect directly to O'Hare on the Blue Line.
It will not allow Blue Line stops south of Block 37 to connect to the Red Line north of Block 37 however.
So when completed, you could get on the Red Line at 95th & the Dan Ryan, and ride to O'Hare.
Weird.

But I can only imagine how long it would take to get from 95th to O'Hare.

2. I can't imagine anybody taking the L that far. |
|
But I think this is mostly for the benefit of people who live in the South Loop and the newly formed Museum Park areas.

4. how bout some props for the dem mayor? |

oh, no, he has a little dirt on his coat. he is not in any way responsible for the many improvements in public transit, including massive investments in bike access. i'm sure no one makes any money from those tourists, who need to get to round, either.

Although, for me, I'd have to take the Red Line from my place (the Granville stop) all the way to 95th, then catch the Blue Line. A bit out of my way. :-)
