How crazy are the supermarkets where you are?
In Anderson, they were nuts tonight. Everyone stocking up for the big ice storm we're supposed to get. I really wanted to make fun of everyone stocking up on stuff, but alas, I was right along with them:-( Guess I'm a spastic hoosier at heart.

1. Nuts
Hardware stores too. The snow and ice is here in Iowa and my feeling is that if you don't have a shovel or snowblower yet, you're kind of a dumbass anyway. However, its nice to have groceries if one is going to be iced and/or snowed in. I went out to stock up on beer. Gotta have priorities. Boy I sure hope the book I have to read is as good as advertised.

3. Northern Illinois here...

...I went to the stores early this morning, hoping to miss the crowds (I did). However, the gas station was packed tonight....everyone filling up their cars and getting gas for the snow blowers.

Cheers,
Kim :toast:

4. NOW I recall why I moved to Southern California . . .
We have had record rain, but no snow shovels are needed here, or ice scrapers, or snow blowers.

5. We had a big ice storm in Wisconsin last week end.
Don't forget to pick up some salt, or ice melt etc. Our city had not a bag to be found by Monday. We still have a lot of ice around.

8. We get that everytime there is impending snowstorm here in Ft Wayne
I generally don't stockpile like that. If I need something I will go out and get it. I drive more carefully and even though there are fewer idiot drivers out on the road.

I can handle the snow since I have had plenty of experience in Wisconsin.
