Kef's Arrangements: What we know 1/10/05

I just talked with Scott's mom.
She has not confirmed the time with the Masons yet, but tentatively
there will be a service at 3:00 pm at

Flanner/Buchanan
325 E. Carmel Drive
Carmel, IN 46032

on Saturday, January 15th, 2005.

She has encouraged as many DU'ers as possible to attend, knowing what a big part of 'the family' we were to Scott.

She also suggested that anyone with ceramic or woodworking talent could please honor Kef's wishes and design a pyramid with 'the eye' on it, as he did say at one time that he wanted to be buried in a pyramid.

Financial contributions are most welcome, as are flowers.

Anyone with any photos and a color printer, please scan/print and bring them to the service. Unfortunately, I do not have a printer.

2. This sounds horrible, but

... I CANNOT remember her first name. She was always 'MommaKef'.
The last name - I believe - is Mullens.

To be on the safe side, I would send it C/O
"The family of Scott A. Lowery".


I will try to think of a tactful way to get her full name when I talk to her later this evening.

her last name is also Lowery.

We have those photos at Hoosiers for Dean that show Kef meeting Howard Dean, if anyone has a high resolution printer, they can go ahead and print them.

If I don't choke up, I will be honored to say a few words for Kef.

8. Estimated Cost

MamaKef is very concerned that the estimated cost right now is $5,400 and she is significantly short of that.

14. I would like to make it

But having just moved up to the Wisconsin border in Illinois, I don't know if I have the gas money to get down there. If someone can PM KefMom's address (I can visualize the house and sort of how to get there, but I have no idea what the address is) I would appreciate it - I should at least send a card down there.

And I had a picture of Kef from back in 2001, but it has long since been deleted - it used to be up in the Gallery way back when I ran it, if anyone archived or otherwise saved such things.
