Hastert must be defeated
"Hefley said in an interview yesterday that he believes he was removed because he was too independent. He said there is "a bad perception out there that there was a purge in the committee and that people were put in that would protect our side of the aisle better than I did." "Nobody should be there to protect anybody," he said. "They should be there to protect the integrity of the institution.""

Isn't that the whole idea behind an ethics committee? To rise above the partisan politics for the "good of the institution"?

First Hastert removed the respected chair of the Senate Veterans Affairs committee, now this.

Ehics? No, ETHUGS!

1. If the Dems were in charge
and did something like that there would be such a fuss, the Repukes would be screaming and screeching all over the msm. Why are they so quiet about it?

3. Who are they supposed to tell?
Our side is not put out for the country to hear.

If we would get a chance it would turn to the typical media game of shifting the focus. The perfectly logical complaint by a democrat would be spun by the commentator (and the 3 other republicans on the panel) as bitterness stemming from the democrats weakening position.

We can't win through the media.

2. During the SOTUA
he looked like a dead bear who had been stuffed and mounted into his chair.

4. There are only 4 ways to have him removed
1) The repugs decide they don't want him as Speaker

2) He commits an act so atrocious that it cannot be ignored

3) The Democrats regain control of the House

4) The voters in his district vote him out
