Attorney general seeks dozens of patient records

"Attorney General Steve Carter is demanding the medical records of 73 low-income patients from Planned Parenthood of Indiana as part of an investigation that critics say tramples on Hoosiers' privacy rights.

Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit Monday in Marion Superior Court to prevent Carter's Medicaid fraud unit from seizing confidential medical records of patients under the age of 14 who sought reproductive health care from its clinics."

So now your medical records can be seized if it is part of someone else's fraud? Is this common, or a new way to scare people? Am I missing something? :shrug:

I was surprised when it said none of the cases involved abortions.
With the anti abortion attitude lately I expected them all to be abortion cases, with prosecutions looming. Now I'm confused as to what he's really up to, unless it's just a "softening up" attempt before his real agenda comes out. What is he up to?

4. I am contacting my local Planned Parenthood tomorrow

and tell them if they ask for mine or my Daughters records I want them to call me ASAP> I will have my Attorney on their ass so fast it will make their heads swim. And I mean it. I consider that a violation of our personal rights. My Attorney would LOVE that he can't stand the SOBs anyway.Not that either of us is under 14 but who knows whats next
