BATTLE GROUND, Ind. — A couple who have four young children are suing to get a convicted sex offender evicted from their neighborhood, arguing his presence constitutes a nuisance and prevents them from enjoying their property.
Skip and Amy Sturgeon filed a lawsuit seeking to have Michael J. Rodgers, 62, ordered to vacate his brother’s home next door, the Journal and Courier of Lafayette reported today.
Billy Rodgers allowed his brother to move in May 28 upon being released from prison. He served seven years of a 14-year sentence for molesting a 12-year-old girl in 1997.
