As much as I'm glad she's our Representative, she'd show up at a PTA car wash if she was invited. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

5. I am not sure minimizing Carson's presence at the vigil when

all over DU people are asking why are Dem elected officials NOT showing up at Camp Casey or other vigils is the best approach, but I guess you have your reasons for saying she would show up at ANYTHING she was invited to. Not certain that is so though.

It can be perceived as a good thing - that she's so 'accessible' to her constituency ... but it can also be seen as a negative because she's NEVER in Washington and her absence and missed vote percentage has been a bone of contention for opposing candidates.

Yes, it's nice to know your Rep will be at selected events to show that they're in touch with the people who elected them; but really and truly, she's been at darn near EVERY political event - no matter how minimal - I've been at for the last 4 years, which makes me wonder, if she's spending so much time here, what has she actually gotten done in DC ?

She may be a Dem, but I personally have never been very impressed with her.

7. yep, Carson is a Dem and may have a 90% ADA rating but

nothing any true DUer would be impressed by, given the penchant here for forming circular firing squads, and cutting off our noses to spite our faces.

I can pick up my apples just fine. I can pick them up while I ignore Indianapolis Star spin too.
