Mayor Bart's on my BAD list!

After two other reschedules, Mayor Bart Peterson has decided that he will NOT attend the Pancake Breakfast planned in his honor on Oct. 8. (Sat., Oct. 8 from 8-11 AM at Steelworkers Local, 218 S. Addison). The members of the United Wayne Township Democrat Club worked for months on this event, sold sponsorships, sent press releases and post cards, printed tickets, etc., all proclaiming that it was the "Mayor's Pancake Breakfast." Now, he can't spare 60 minutes on a Saturday morning to show up at a Democrat function sponsored by the city's labor unions and hosted by the United Steelworkers Union at their Hall. SHAME ON YOU, BART! To think we actually raised money for you in all your previous elections and supported you on multiple occasions throughout your terms; it makes me sick now. You've just lost another voter and supporter, Bart. Don't count on the west side Democrats for support if you ever run for anything again. It was bad enough when you shoved an unwanted stadium down our throats while cutting police and fire service, but now you won't even support your own Party? We're done with you, Bart.

1. Southside Democrats Truckers Breakfast is the same morning

from 8:30-10:30. It will be interesting to see if he shows up at that one. I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to make both of them. Just go around Saturday moning eating breakfast with other Democrats, how much better could it get?
