I was just thinking the other day about posting a poll or something like that to see if there were any interest in a central Indiana meetup.

Hope you and Speedway Democrat had a great holiday. I just want to take a reading of the room as far as interest goes, I am feeling more angry and panicked than usual (being a former NSA type) and I need to get drunk about it dammit. I'll count you as a pair!

My next door neighbor, a very Democratically connected type, has just opened a bar of his own up the street from the new stadium construction on McCarty and West Sts. I suggest we meet there since it is close to downtown, helps him in his new establishment and keeps us drinking in a Democratic (yeah, with a big D) atmosphere.

The more the merrier, I always say. I'm going to go over there this afternoon and check the place out. I was there when they started ripping out the interior, so this should be interesting.

21. I am still on the Meetup List

guess that still exists even if we aren't a "paying group" - just says when folks register and I think that I read two notices of people joining in the past month or two.

My time is really crazy and I can't be a coordinator and keep up - but I would be paying to pay for several months worth of costs for getting the group back active so that we can let folks registered know about meetings - and get notices. Anyone willing to take the "job" of coordinating? If so - let me know and we'll figure out a way to get it done.

Lets knock it about next week and see what we want to do. I have the feeling that the way things are going in this country right now, its a good idea to keep your friends close, a functioning meetup group would be good.

but we have some very fine Hoosier Democrats that are running for reelection this year, Julia Carson among them, and we have some great Democratic challengers to repuke incumbents such as Susan Fuldauer who is running against the homophobic puke Brian Bosma.

The place is called Spencer's Stadium Tavern. It is on the Southwest corner of McCarty and West St. Also in the house that night will be members of Drinking Liberally so a good time should be had by all. After the Cloture debacle tonight and the bullshit coming out of Bush's mouth tomorrow night, I am gonna need a BIG drink.
