Mitch pulls the Bush line.... |

"You're either for this bill or you're against our future," regarding selling the IN toll road to foreign interests. Karl Rove must have done Mitch a favor by helping him come up with that gem. What a fucking tool..... http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060228/NEWS02/60228029

1. You are either an incompetent jackass |

or an incapable bafoon. I can't tell which, Mitch. But I'll do me some thinkin' and I'll get back around to deciding.
Nope. i decided. You are either for foregoing the capital generated from public tolls or you are for leasing them to the highest bidder; one of those options makes Mitch a jackass bafoon, incapable and incompetent in every way. State jobs with state benifits vs. an uncontrollable market force. Take your pick Mitchie pooh.
One thing however he is good at is changing the debate. Now we are talking about privitizing public lands rather than whether the damn road is worth the risk. If we privatize the tolls I say its not worth the risk.

2. heh - after the daylight savings fiasco.... |

"trust me" doesn't carry much weight with most folks per Mitch.
Anyone else notice the absolute LACK of anything green stating "My Man Mitch"? Haven't seen a sign, a bumper sticker or anything else in at least five months.

3. I agree that little Napoleon's probably a one-termer ... |
|
... but who's on the Dem horizon to run against him? I think Bart's got too much baggage with the City/County merger and the police and fire contract drama's, etc.
And, honestly, I don't trust Bart a whole lot, either. He's out for Bart - not for the folks he serves.

4. How about "I Like Vi" vs "Not My Man Mitch"? |
|
Granted she would have a lot of work to do to get more public name recognition. (State Senator Vi Simpson)
Bart probably has the best chance but he was certainly more of a rising star during his first term. Don't know that the city/county stuff would be so bad for him in terms of only irritating those in Marion County... But that compromise (and increase of some taxes) for the Stadium - that discontent spreads further beyond Marion County.

5. I could get behind Vi ... |
|
... but you know Mitch's folks are going to label her 'one of those Whacky Bloomington Liberals' who wants to take away their guns and let homos marry ... and any chance she has to get thru to the non-braindead Hoosiers will be gone.
I'm afraid it's gonna be Bart, and I just don't trust the guy.
Sigh. I hate this state alot of the time.
