Okay, so they're selling the Toll Road up here in Northern Indiana to a foreign company for about $3.8 billion dollars. Oh, wait -- excuse me, they're LEASING it to said company for 75 years. Now, Mitch says that it's great because all of these jobs will be created by this infusion of cash which he intends on spending in like the first 3 years. This company isn't doing this out of the goodness of their heart. They are planning on making $100 billion over the next 75 years. :wow:
Anyway, Mitch -- proving once again that Republicans can't think beyond the first five minutes of anything and aren't that great with math, either.
Edited to add that the $100 billion figure was taken from some info my state rep sent me. At least he voted against it.

1. so he is admitting the failure of his economic policies |
|
and his new "jobs" will be govt paid for - at the expense of those driving the tollroads who will see outrageous toll hikes after the two year "moratorim".

2. Right and just how long are all those "new jobs" going to last? |
|
I mean, they're mostly just building stuff, right? So, you spend the money, build the stuff and then what, Mitch?

3. Yep. Indiana doesn't need the $100 billion. Just the far smaller some |
|
we get from the lease.
This man is a beacon of business smarts. :sarcasm:
