Hi all. Just a message to say :hi: and that I think about all of you. I'm feeling both anxious and elated at the same time right now. I received word that my husband and some of his fellow soldiers sustained a mortar attack on their base. There were no fatalities, but if my husband had been six feet closer....well, let's just say that this would not be a happy message. He is fine, no major injuries, a few scratches. I am amazed that no one was killed.
On the same day, I was told that he could be out of Iraq in as little as six weeks!!! :bounce:
Please keep him and his unit in your thoughts if you can as this very long 18 month deployment draws to a close. Thanks to all of you who have kept in touch with me over these very trying times. You guys are the best!

I was wondering where you've been!
Thanks for the update & I'm relieved that he's ok!
Have him 'stop by' when he gets settled stateside, we'd all love to meet and thank him for his service!
All the best to hubby, you, and that little cutie girl of yours! O8)

I have been around a little here and there. Because I can only post from home, I see posts but can't reply until later. Then, or course, I forget.
I don't know how much he will want to do when he gets back. He is not nearly as social as I am, but we'll see.
 backatcha!

I think of you, and your beautiful family, often. What great news - that he could be back and out of harms way before the next two months are left.

8. THAT'S GREAT NEWS, WakeMeUp! |
|
Sounds like he has a guardian angel watching over him. May she keep him safe until he's back in Indiana. He can then go to work with us, trying to drag this state kicking and screaming into the 19th Century (ha ha). We've got a lot to get him caught up on, since he left. Maybe we should just share the DU forums with him... Godspeed to him on his journey home to you both!
