Former Floyd County, IN GOP chairman arrested after shootings

NEW ALBANY, Ind. Police say a man who once served as Floyd County, Indiana, Republican Party chairman is behind bars, suspected of shooting two people, killing one of them.

Thirty-six-year-old Edward Stoess (STESS) of New Albany is charged with attempted murder in the shooting of his estranged wife, Denna. He's also suspected of fatally shooting 35-year-old James Shuttler the Third of Crestwood, Kentucky.
