1. Hi, SpeedwayDemocrat. Can I ask how Julia Carson is doing? |
|
There was a report a couple weeks ago that Eric Dickerson had drawn even, or might have been slightly ahead.
I'm a Julia Carson fan and would hate to see her replaced with a Rethuglican.
Any inside info on that race?

2. Polls are all over the board... |
|
Some polls have her up by 20 points, while another one shows her down by 3, with a margin of error of +/-3. Frankly, you can torture polls and methodology to make them say whatever you want (learned that myself in Marketing 101). She's polled behind before, then won handily. I don't think this year will be any different. Best poll site I've found was the Talking Point Memo's Election site. They've done a great job of tracking all the races nationwide. Plus, Jen Wagner's blog at takingdownwords dot com covers the local issues really well, and Julia's campaign manager seems to spend a lot of time up there, posting rebuttals to the Republican trolls; it's fun to watch him outsmart the trolls in their logic. When they can't win, they start flinging personal insults - pop some popcorn and pull up a chair, as it's first class entertainment for us Hoosier Democrats! Thanks! -Speedway Dem

4. That sounds like fun, but.... |
|
Hubby and I have been invited to the Pacer game. In the clubhouse or suite or whatever you call it. I've never been to Conseco Fieldhouse, so I'm excited! Let's get ready to celebrate both a Dem and Pacer win!
