As a GoGreen Power participant, you can purchase the minimum of two 100 kilowatt-hour (kwh) blocks of green power for only $5 a month, which is about 18 percent of an average residential customer’s electricity usage. Beyond this minimum, you can purchase additional 100 kwh blocks of green power for $2.50 a month. All you have to do is decide how many blocks you want to buy, and it will be added to your energy bill. It’s that easy!
Under the program, Duke Energy will obtain energy from environmentally friendly generating sources located in Indiana as they become available. We’ll also purchase renewable energy from third parties in the form of renewable energy certificates.

My favorite FAQ from Duke's page:
How can my participation make a difference for the environment?
A. Your personal commitment makes a difference! Every block of GoGreen Power purchased promotes the use of environmentally-friendly green power, thereby reducing the dependence on fossil fuels to generate energy.
The environmental benefit of each $5.00 monthly purchase is about the same as NOT driving a car 500 miles. So every month I will be NOT driving 1,500 miles. :eyes:
