I need some help, maybe re: VOTING... |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 12:27 PM by samwisefoxburr
...I called my county (Pike) election office and the woman on the phone said that they didn't have me in the computer as a voter. I moved earlier this year and I updated all my information to my current address (I have my voter registration card in hand right now with the current address). I told her this and she said to call the county that I was originally registered in (Marion) to see if I'm still registered there.
Marion county has an automated service, where I typed in my birth date and the first numbers of my address. It says I am registered in Pike County and even told me where I am supposed to go to vote. I tried calling the Pike county election office again, but I think they closed at noon.
Should I worry too much about this. I mean if I am not on the list at my voting place, I could just have them call the Marion county number and type in my birth date and first part of my address and it will say I am supposed to be there.
Thanks!

2. Let me see if I can check |
|
at the campaign office this afternoon (I have a meeting there). It's in Vigo county, but I have access to the Indiana voter registration database via the Democratic party - I can check in there and see what is going on. At any rate, you should be able to get a provisional ballot to vote.
If you want, PM me your name and city and I'll try to look you up later.
