Why I hate rural Indiana pt II

Today turned out beautiful, my wife is on night shift, so after dinner I went out to enjoy our backyard with a cigar and a beer. We have bird feeders up, and a lot of birds in the yard. Nice and relaxing...

I'm watching the birds, relaxing, when I hear a 'pffft' sound from the other side of the yard. I look over, and I see someone moving around behind the fence. Then a BB gun barrel starts to poke out. Turns out one of the neighborhood brats has been trying to shoot songbirds in my backyard from behind the fence! I went over and told him to stop. Kid was about 8-9 years old. It amazes me, because I admit I shot at birds when I was that age (before I got set straight in a hurry and knew better), but not in someone else's yard!
