"Our Bitch Mitch" to Kernan: "Don't do NOTHIN'!!"
Heard that this AM. Daniels tells Kernan not to make any executive orders, make no appointments, keep your hands off the chequebook, in fact, why not just clean out your desk and putt on the office carpet until it's time for the ISP to escort you from the building?

Oh, and Bitch-Mitch is gonna give us Daylight Wasting Time, too.

Welcome to Indiana. Please set your watch back 60 years....

He's probably got a woman AND a young feller.

Bet he's paid for at LEAST one abortion in his life, too.

9. So what if the weasel is getting some action on the side?
As much as I'd like to bring down Dubya's Man-Bitch as the next person on this list, I think using a sex scandal to do it is the wrong approach. Do we really want to adopt the slimy tactics of the GOP? Clinton's furtive afternoon delights had no impact on-- or pertinence to-- his capability as a political leader, yet he was villified and nearly ousted because of them. We chastised an effective leader because of a few blowjobs, then sat back passively as his unscathed successor led us into a disastrous war based entirely on lies. No wonder we're the laughingstock of the civilized world!

As far as I'm concerned, WMD (Wimpy Mitch Daniels) is fucking MILLIONS of people--namely, the entire population of Indiana. That's what matters.

11. So what??? It demonstrates that their values are corrupt
and that they are hypocrits.

We need to destroy the perception that the Republican Party has moral values. That is part of why gw* won. Because voters perceived that he had better moral values then Kerry. And as long as they believe that they will vote that way.

12. Yes, but...
everyone knows Bush was a cokehead, and that Laura killed someone with her car (possibly while coked up or drunk herself, and that the twins aren't exactly role models for clean livin'. But they're all forgiven, because they're Christians.

I know we're told that 'moral values' were the deciding factor in this election, and that may be true to an extent. But focusing on someone's private life--especially if it involves something that happened in the past--is a slimy tactic and a waste of time, particularly if the 'sinner' claims to have 'repented.' Evangelical Christianity allows anyone to get away with anything, after all. Unless the person is a retarded Texan felon on Death Row, that is.

My point is that it's beyond pathetic if we have to stoop to the subterranean level of the GOP by scrutinizing someone's sex life in order to bring him down, thereby diverting attention from issues that truly matter. I think we're better than that. But if invoking private 'bad behavior' is the only way for us to oust a bad politician from office, I think it's time to look into other nationalities.

8. So, Kernan ignored Mitch and just gave state employees a
2% wage increase. http://www.indystar.com/articles/5/194451-4535-092.html

Our bitch Mitch's response:
"Ellen Whitt, who is helping lead the transition team, said Gov.-elect Mitch Daniels and his staff 'would have appreciated being consulted.'"

Perhaps he isn't aware that Kernan is still the governor?

13. Still our Governor
And I expect him to take care of the States bussiness as long as he is. Screw Mitch. When he's the Gov. he can do as he pleases and I'm sure he will. Until that time he will have to let the boss deal with it. That is not yet him.:dem:

10. Oops--I set mine back 70...
Can someone please explain why intelligent people choose to remain in a state that hasn't voted for a Democratic president in nearly forty years? There must be SOME compelling reason(s)keeping us here.

After pondering this question for a while, I came up with the following possibilities.
Is it our breathtaking mountain views?
Our pristine oceans and beaches with their glorious sunsets?
Our incredibly punctual and efficient public transportation system?
Our squeaky-clean air?
Our unparalleled educational system?
Our commitment to embracing people of diverse cultures and sexual orientations?
Or maybe all of our cool, cutting-edge arts districts and their trendsetting museums?

For the life of me, I can't figure out what all this 'brain-drain' business is about. Why on earth would anyone want to leave the Shangri-La of the Corn Belt?

Where I can ride my bicycle for 20 miles without seeing as much as a stop sign, much less a car or truck...

And our progressive churches, too.

19. Originally, Indiana didn't go along with DST
because it was strongly suggested by the federal government and Indiana hates federal mandates (no matter if they are funded or not). Some of the reason did have to do with farming, but the true reason was the independence of Hoosiers and their abhorrence for federal interference in what they consider state issues. This issue is discussed and debated every term but the votes are never there to move to observance of DST. I understand why business wants it, but I don't have a preference either way. It is a pain trying to figure out the TV schedules when the times change twice a year, though. :)

20. About Daniels girl friend
Does anyone remember Hudnut, and his so called popularity? His sexual zeal brought him down big time when he was discovered to have a girlfriend on the side. He divorced his wife who wasn't going along with the minister turned politican, and blabbed about a Black child he had fathered in the past. Hudnut made the usual excuses but left town with his new bride. Hudnut's kids were poster children for reform school and he also covered this up. Married three times now Hudnut lives in I think Chicago. Mitch will be outed there is no doubt in my mind about this.
