Need suggestions for a co-worker who needs medical care. |
|
He's having serious problems with his eyes and needs to see an ophthalmologist. We don't have health insurance at work. Does Medicaid cover eye care? Do you know of any other programs that might be able to help?

1. See if the Lions Club in your area might help. |
|
I know they help with eye care. I don't how how extensively they help in your area. They might only help children, disabled or seniors. But it is worth a try.

Good luck getting on it if he's working though. The income restrictions are frighteningly low. But check to see if your hospital has a social worker (many do, too many don't). She may be able to help your friend navigate the system. Most hospitals have assistance programs too, and will work with people to pay it off over time (especially if a social worker is on your side).

317-274-4416 550 University Blvd. They might be able to assist or at least make a recommendation for services.
That is of course in Indianapolis. Hope it helps though.
