From nearly the beginning of my time on DU, I had been a site donor. As such, I never had to view the ads at the top of the forums and so forth. Since I thought the last fund drive was silly (what with the little race and all), I didn't donate at that time and figured I'd pony up later. But now that I can see the ads, it's kinda interesting to see who's serving what.
This morning, for instance, the ads are for Emily's List project on behalf of Clinton. I can't decide if I want to let it slide until after the caucus just so I can see who's pushing what at the top of the pages. LOL!

When some RW spot comes up I like to click on it over and over. I don't know what DU gets per click, but I figure about 50 clicks will help. In addition - I had a lot of fun with those cats that were frenching.

I usually try to give a little, but for purely selfish reasons. I HATE not being able to search, and I really enjoy posting in some of the "group" forums. The ads drove me nutty at first, but I am getting used to them, and it IS pretty interesting to see what is being advertised here.
