I'm gonna do it! My first Causus |
|
I found out that since I live in Waverly in Bremer County, that my caucus is at the H.S. here in town. I think I can handle that! Luckily I remembered, in the nick of time, that I have to re-register.
It's too bad my husband's birthday is on the 15th, or I would go see Edwards in Cedar Falls. :( Hubby is not into politics at all. Which is good because I think he would turn out to be a repug!
If anyone will be going to Waverly, please let me know.

It will be interesting and kind of fun. I was scared the first time I went, but it was fascinating and easy.

2. I don't know if any Iowa DUers are from Waverly (other than you!) |
|
but please don't hesitate to call the Edwards Waterloo Office, they'll hook you up with some Waverly supporters quick! :hi:

http://www.iowafirstcaucus.org/caucus_finder.phpUsing this site I found out I only live 286 feet to my caucus, shorter if I use the back door.

I put in my address, and I'm about 1200 ft. from my caucus. :)
Just for fun, I entered my mom's address, and the map and directions were completely wrong! The address of the school was correct, but the map and directions didn'tgo anywhere near the correct school.
Should I contact the webmaster and tell them the map/directions are wrong?

6. It may be to late to correct. |
|
Is the address correct for the caucus? I see they use Google for their map search. I have found Google to have alot of errors in the map locations. I would imagine the addresses are correct but Google maps is wrong. They have my house and the whole block as Central Park. Central Park is only about 50 feet wide at the opposite end of Polk School.

7. I checked mine just in case |

WHEW, now I know where to go!
That's good too b/c a Clinton campaign staffer just called to speak w/Mr. Debi (he's the temporary chair for our township) and see if he'd ever attended a caucus before and if he understood what to do. I told them he'd been to one or two and could work his way through it x(.
On another note, a wonderful woman came door-knocking from the Edwards campaign (a volunteer). She's the first campaign person to ever make it to the Debi's house out in the boonies. She thought Mr. Debi would be up to the task of temporary chair
