2. We had rain which turned to freezing rain and then sleet and |
|
now snow. Except for the DMR endorsing Ms Clinton I don't see how we have deserved this.

3. Its mainly windy around Des Moines |
|
and yesterday, out shopping, it snowed a couple inches but with the wind it did get kind of nasty. This morning, though, just the wind and some blowing snow.
Actually, it helps me out....I'm working on our house, and it helps me find all the cracks and air leaks that need to be insulated!!!:-)

6. I am going to be really upset if there is an ICE STORM on Jan 3rd |
|
I live at the base of a hill and could not get out for a day or so during the last ice storm.
I am so excited to caucus this year -- if I am house bound that night I will go BALLISTIC.

I think we must have been in a small pocket. Sounds like other places got less. We didn't even try to go anyplace yesterday. Funny thing, I called my daughter and was telling her how good it felt to be out blowing snow and have it blow back in my face. We haven't had much snow for years. The other funny thing is that it used to get incredibly cold after one of these blasts. By cold I mean -20 or so. This time it is only getting down to 10 or so. That is the real measure of global warming. The earth just doesn't cool off.

Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 12:43 PM by petersjo02
I was going to drive up to Humboldt from our home north of West Branch, but Mr. petersjo02 says I must stay home, so I called my daughter this morning to tell her I wasn't coming after all. We are all sad about that. She said they got no snow or bad weather at all in their area. This is the most snow we've had here north of West Branch since we've lived here (1991). Mr. petersj02 says 8 inches, and it all drifted in again overnight. My brother (also from Humboldt) left for Hungry Horse on the 20th. Montana and especially that area, Going to the Sun road and Glacier, is his favorite place in all the world. Maybe you'll cross his path. I'm lonesome right now. :-(
Edited for spelling.

15. Well, we're about 400 miles apart so I don't think we'll be seeing each other |
|
However, in Montana, 400 miles apart isn't that far! :hi:
