Lunar eclipse I'd like to watch and it's freaking 10 below |
|
and I fell the other day so I can hardly walk. Will this winter ever end?

2. Caught a glimpse when I took the dog out, |
|
a fleeting glimpse at that. We hurried back inside. The moon looked like a gray version of itself. The moonrise earlier tonight was spectacular.

We bundled up the kiddos and watched for a while (then peeked out the windows to check the progress. Rambis Jr., took some photos - we'll see how they turn out (he's 7 years old).
I thought it looked super cool around 9:00 p.m. - reddish tint, etc.

4. We had fairly heavy cloud cover (no stars) and while the eclipse was happening, it was just a pale |
|
spot in the sky, darnit, because I have a pretty good view out the kitchen window without putting on the KlompenBoots and FatJacket and HairyHat and ThickScarfOne and FuzzyScarfTwo and the HeavyGloves and by then the eclipse would have been over anyway.
But it was cloudy. darn. So I just stood there in the kitchen and looked at where the eclipse would have been if I could have seen it.
I was tired of our –25° windchills and the WeatherGods must have heard me complaining, because last night we had –40° windchills. Iowa has such an interesting variety in its weather, doncha think.
