Anyone here go to greet Rove in IC? |
|
Wish I could have been there. I picketed Cheney but would have loved to do the same for K. Rove. I saw on TV he met rather a hostile reception.

1. Rove can go fuck himself |
|
Sorry for the profanity but I can't be tactful when it comes to treasonous people who have contributed to the destruction of this once great land. I went to a terrific Blues show rather than waste my gas on that freak.

4. Yeah - I did at least briefly |

Got there about 6:30 and joined in the protest. Went inside @ 7:15 and ran into some friends. I was extremely tired and had determined I would stand with my back to the stage and then walkout as Rove began to speak. My friends had also decided to walk out early. As I stood with my back to the stage I was pelted with profanity from a little old lady. As I said to a fellow walker as we left I was surprised to see how many Rove supporters were ther. She said every Repug in Johnson County must have showed up. Recording devices were not allowed after introductions per the Rove contract. So we may never know how unruly the crowd was. Having seen a fairly docile crowd, I was somewhat depressed coming home last night.

5. Nothing to be depressed about |
|
from what I read. I was up bright and early this morning to scour the web for news about it. It sounds like it went well. The number of protesters that was given on the KCRG web site sounded great. Not exactly the reception that Gonzales got recently (if you haven't seen it check for the clip on YouTube) but the protesters were definitely heard. Thanks for going!!!:headbang:
