1. Well - no answer is not a good sign.

cross my fingers, but the storm seems to have passed us by this morning.
CR CF and IC sound like they are in bad shape.

Power in Marion is going off and on, off and on -- probably due to the flood in Cedar Rapids. It's a mess in the downtown area -- much worse that the pictures and video I posted yesterday.

As for our house, the only threat we have is Indian Creek. It continues to be high, but is flowing really well.

We're moving stuff out of the basement b/c of too much rain water - but nothing of value got wet - kind of an unplanned housecleaning.

Keep us posted....wonder if all is well with Seth....hmmmm.

6. I'm alive!

Power has been on and off since Wednesday night (I think?).. I work downtown, well 2nd Ave & 5th ST.. so we were evac'd on Thursday around noon. It's a royal mess, as Cornfield's coverage clearly shows (and channel 9 is kickin ass, I must say). We are dry here in Marion, but a good majority of our county is devastated.

I'll likely be away for a while keeping busy, but thanks for wondering about me!

7. Internet was out for some in Eastern Iowa

Qwest DSL was down until they could move their equipment away from the flood in CR. I got mine back today. This affected the Iowa City/Coralville area as well. Cell phone traffic in the area seems to be pretty heavy, I sometimes have to try several times before I can get through to people. Just don't want people to panic if they can't reach people right away.

10. Yep. I'm way up in Allamakee and my Qwest DSL was out yesterday all day.

Got it back this morning, thank goodness. I can barely live without it anymore! lol.
