I'm coming west tomorrow. |

I'm heading to Clarion tomorrow for a wedding on Saturday. I must admit I feel a bit odd, to have been out of state during the worst of your troubles, but to happily cross the river to celebrate now that the worst seems to be over. I've been thinking of you all, praying for you, calling friends to keep up on the latest, worrying. And now I'll be visiting. I'll try not to get in the way as you're cleaning up!
I always love visiting my native state. Now it seems both important (I'll be spending some money, after all) and at the same time daunting at some level. I have such respect for what so many have been through. I can't tell you how bad I've felt watching it all from a distance. I remember the floods of 65 and 67 when I was a kid. Or being evacuated from our Campfire Camp when the Wapsi was rising.
This was so much worse.
At any rate, I'll be in Iowa until Tuesday. I'm looking forward to it.

PS Anyone know whether 80 is open yet, or should I take 61 to 20? Thanks. :hi:

DOT says: http://www.511ia.org/default.aspI read that some areas were down to one lane during cleanup. But I'm on the other side of the state so not really in the thick of it.
