As of today two of the Debi clan will be attending - lost one to the Sturgis Falls parade.

...but I am probably not going to make it. We had plans for this weekend, before
the date was changed. I'll make a final decision today and call the IDP if I can't
be there.

I'm bummed. I wanted to participate.

With all the craziness going on right now we can barely afford the trip to Des Moines (and are not spending the night). x(

3. We can't make it. A prior engagement in St. Paul MN will

keep us away. I for one am not interested in seeing the backstabber Culver should he show up.

6. He vetoed the labor bill which would have greatly helped

state and other government workers in bargaining. There was quite a lot of coverage in the DM Register.

Newton. There is a Blues Fest in Newton and it's a small but mighty one. If I recall, there is an amusement park for the kids and they let people carry in coolers, so a lot of $ is saved on food and liquid refreshments. For those who are going to the convention, stay civil and be careful while driving. Or walking for that matter.
