gas prices now down to ONLY $3.55 ($3.549 actually). Man I am so happy with $3.55 gas I could almost vote for Johnnie Mac! Wow $3.55 a gallon gas! Man this is fantastic! Now I have so much money we can eat at MacDonald's again! Maybe I can buy an extra trinket at the Walmart for my kids! Oh! Thank you John. Thank you, GW! Thank you Republicans! $3.55 gas! Lordy, lordy, lordy I never thought we'd ever see $3.55 a gallon gas again! Does anyone think we might see $3.50? Is it possible? O my god is it possible? This administration is just so good, so competent so intouch with us common folk. Thank you Johnnie! Thank you GW! Thank you republicans. O I am so not worthy of you!

1. Went out to the parents house the other day |
|
They live in LeClaire and there is a Casey's out there where people were actually lined up for a block to get...wait for it...$3.35/gallon gas. It's gotten to the point where people are lined up in a small town waiting for "cheap" gas. They have beaten us down and now we think that $3.35/gallon is cheap. Gawd we need a change in leadership. We have to bust our asses for Obama. We cannot have four more years of this.

3. Unfortunately it will actually fool a lot of people. |

After paying for $4.00+ gas, people will be relieved to see $3.50 gas. I even heard some idiot caller to a local radio talk show touting the falling gas prices as a sign the economy is turning around. :eyes:

4. At least it's something |

The one good thing about being a college student, especially at the University of Iowa: no car, which means no gas. Frankly, riding a bike is faster than driving on campus, and a whole lot cheaper and healthier.
Still, my friends and family that actually have cars are really complaining about gas prices, so it's good to see the price go down a little bit. Of course, gas would be cheaper if Exxon-Mobil and the like didn't gouge the prices to get record profits....

5. Somebody calculated a "Bush tax" |
|
Cannot remember where I heard or read it nor many of the details. Essentially they took the price of gold compared to various currencies around the world and then our relationship to them. Based on these comparisons a gallon of gas in this country should be going for around $2.10 a gallon. Anything above that is the "Bush tax". Of course the Bush tax is not being collected by the government but by Exxon, Chevron, Phillips, etc. A Bush tax could be calculated on other commodities.

insults at me as they waste gas driving around being assholes. If only they could see how stupid they look. I ignore their taunts.

8. I will most likely give them a wave and a cheerful smile! |

A little exercise won't hurt them. If they knew I was older and I'm bicycling to try to keep in good circulatory health perhaps they would be more sympathetic.
