I got my ID switched over from Illinois to Iowa. I've been living in Iowa, but I've been incredibly lazy for the past year or so. With the election coming up; I figured it was time to make the switch so that I could vote in my new home state. While I was registering, I figured that I might as well register as a Democrat instead of my usual independent registration. Now I have an incredibly ugly picture of me, and I get the chance to help my new state turn as blue as my former state.

McLame hasn't done much to help himself in Iowa this past week. First there was the ethanol subsidy comment in the debate, then the snarky Des Moines Register interview. What a bonehead.

7. Wish McSame would give up on Iowa like he did Michigan. |
|
I wish McSame would just give up on Iowa and go away like he did in Michigan.

2. I really believe Iowa will be blue this time |
|
Though, I'm really tired of all the McCain signs in WDM. Many people want Obama signs but we are short on Obama supplies here and getting shipments from campaign headquarters is taking forever.

We're having the same problem here in CF too. All Obama supplies are gone and we have yet to see Obama/Biden signs. While driving through Jasper County earlier this week I was tempted to stop and 'uproot' one of the signs I drove past (who would go looking for it in Black Hawk County??) I resisted and hope that SOON we'll have some here.

I'm trying not to make too many mistakes posting, but it's nice to find some like minded Iowans.

8. Well for starters, welcome to Iowa |
|
And good to see another Quad Citizen on board here in our humble little forum. And are you saying that they take pictures now when one registers to vote? I just re-registered because of a move (within the city) and they didn't take a pic. But then it may not have turned out well anyway. A face made for radio here. Oh wait, I feel kinda stupid, you likely meant driver's license. Thanks for registering and let's get Iowa blue!

9. I had just switched my ID from Illinois to Iowa |
|
and had to get a new hideous picture of me for my new ID. Thanks to you, and everyone else in this thread that welcomed me into the second state that I'll have helped vote Obama into Washington from.

10. You should see the ones that got sent in for my passport |
|
The ones that we sent in for my passport are absolutely hideous. But every time the girl at the triple A tried to shoot my picture the flash would cause me to close my eyes. We finally got one where my eyes weren't closed, but I'm not looking forward to that being on my passport for the next 10 years.
