We were out at Westdale mall (where all of the county offices are now located) and ran into Joel, our county auditor. I guess I didnt realize it was so easy, but he told us about it and we went in and voted.. took about 5 minutes tops!
And my nephew got to show off his 'Boo Non KcKain!' cheers and 'Yay Awack Owamma'.

I voted last week, I was at the Dubuque county courthouse to file an application for a passport so when I was done I went across the street to the county elections office and voted. Voted all Democratic this time around.

6. The eldest cairykitten voted for the first time |

She couldn't quite figure out voting straight ticket, so she filled all the bubbles with DEM after them.
Her dad and I had these dreams of going to the polls with her, but since she decided to vote absentee, we are going that route too.
We're pretty proud to have raised another Democratic voter, and proud of the way she's been talking to her friends who are old enough to vote and encouraging them to vote for Obama.

Tuesday, October 14. I voted straight ticket except for one independent candidate. I have met the candidate I voted against and quite frankly, I just don't like her. I also wrote in one vote as the sheriff is repub, unopposed, and a jackass.

...to throw down my vote in Davenport today. Extremely easy, very organized, very transparent process.
Being a truck driver, there's no guarrantee I would've made it back in to vote on the 4th. I think I'd rather be on the road anyway. If I were home all day, i'd drive my parents and girlfriend batty watching the returns. I think in the truck is a good place for me. It'll be fun to watch all the trucking, right-wing, racist, nutjob, freepers cry when their "guy" get's his ass handed to him.
