Is there a push by republicans in other areas for the down tickets

I am in northwest Iowa, and we are suddenly seeing political commericals for local races, state officials against the democrats.

Usually we see these discussions in the newspapers or debates on tv between state canidates or local canidaates, but never ever political commericals.

I think there is a push to try and pick up the down tickets, now that the realization of what is happening at the top of the ticket. We are going Obama!!

I think the thing that surprises me is how negative the ads are, something akin to what you would see a rnc running against a federal canidate.

Where is this money for these commericals coming from? Hmmmmmmmmmm

1. I just saw a 'thank Chuck Grassley for voting YES on SCHIP' ad

He's not even up this cycle. :shrug:

3. Maybe it is their last stronghold here in the northwest part

and they have a deathgrip on our area. I think the republicans are running scared even here !!!
