Does "Obama is a MARXIST" lie have traction in western Iowa? |
|
Seems to me McCain is running a hyped up version of Bush 2004 - enrage and terrify the base to boost turnout.
I am doing GOTV for Obama but wondering what is going on in western Iowa. My belief is that Iowa Obama voters are not going to make the mistake of staying home. But I still get anxious. Nervous Nelson I guess.

1. Yes. These lies are like button weeds. |

Pull them out all day and there is more the next day.

2. Yep. - Marxist, Muslim, radical Christian, you name it. And they believe it |

My parents are in the heart of extreme right wing in north west Iowa and they have heard it all.
I've read a few emails that would make you shake your head in disbelief (not from my parents - they're Democrats). It's shameful.
They are scary but I think they are finally getting relegated to the back of room. I'm cautiously optimistic that we're heading into new, less RW territory.
