I think the Iowa Party should make unseating Grassley... |
|
A top priority in 2010. If I'm still living here in Iowa by then I'm going to vote for whoever runs in the Democratic ticket puts up that year, but I want someone who is going to make more than a token effort to do so. This is a guy who voted against the auto workers and all those who work in auto industry related jobs - some here in Iowa - and it's time for him to be voted out of office.

1. Agreed. Hopefully Obama's term will be successful |

and Grassley will be among those doing all they can to stop progress. That should help democrats make their case to retire Chuckles.

I hope that every time Grassley is mentioned in Iowa news media from now to then, it will be with examples of how he fought tooth and nail against good things that Obama and the Democrats do, no matter how stupid, ignorant, or arrogant it makes him look, or how badly it hurts the people of Iowa.

3. It's going to be tough. |

He had a 66% approval rating last year.
Maybe he'll retire? Isn't 75 or so?

That doesn't mean we shouldn't try unseating Grassley in 2010. I hope Grassley will decide to not run again, but regardless it's time for a Democrat to hold that seat again.
